"If you want your guitar set up properly and rejuvenated I recommend Wayne"

Mark

Wayne did a great job adjusting the setup, cleaning and restringing both my acoustic and electric Gibson guitars.  The 12 point process he went through on each one made them more playable for me and he was very good at talking thru the options and how they would best fit my playing style.  Turnaround for both guitars was a little over a week - highly recommend giving him a call to service your guitar.

Bob

Wayne fixed up my 2016 Taylor-made guitar.  It came back looking better than you. It was polished, fingerboard cleaned, new strings put on, frets cleaned, tuners, and neck and it plays so much better.  It is amazing.  Fingerlings are much easier and it plays the same all the way up and down the fretboard.  It is such a joy to try and play and learn on my instrument that is now, the best it can be.

Guitar Repair Made Easy

So, here's how it works:

Do You Have High Action or String Buzz

Most guitars aren't properly set up, and even the best guitars need adjusting. Over time, they can develop issues --- whether due to changes in humidity, wear and tear, sound less than perfect, or not play the way it should.

When your guitar isn't playing right, it can be frustrating. Buzzing frets, uneven action, and poor intonation make it hard to enjoy playing. As time passes, these problems don't just go away---they get worse.

Maximize Your Guitars Potential and Play Your Best

That's where. Guitar Dx-2-Rx comes in. Dx stands for diagnosis and Rx stands for treatment.

Comprehensive Guitar Setup Process

At Guitar Dx-2-Rx setups, my mission is to enhance your guitar's playability and ensure it remains in peak condition.  Each setup is tailored to achieve low action with minimal buzzing, creating a seamless playing experience.  Unless specified otherwise, I focus on precision adjustments that cater to your unique playing style.

Here's how the process works:

Initial inspection:  Thoroughly examine your guitar to identify any specific issues and assess its overall condition.

Truss Rod Adjustment:  By adjusting the truss rod,  ensure that the neck has the ideal amount of relief (.010 mm at the 8th fret for electrics and acoustics and .012 basses).  This may vary by guitar somewhat depending on the guitar.  This creates a comfortable playing surface, minimizing string buzz.

Bridge Height Adjustment:  Fine-tune the string height at the 12th fret simulating the nut adjustment.

Potentiometer Maintenance: Rotate the volume and tone pots, using DeoxIT to eliminate their appearance and ensuring smooth playability.

Fret Cleaning and Polishing:  Clean and polish the frets, enhancing their appearance and ensuring smooth playability.

Fretboard Conditioning:  I clean the fretboard and apply Lemon Oil or Fret Doctor (for Rosewood and Ebony), preserving its longevity and enhancing the wood's natural beauty.

String Change and tuning:   Replace your strings, tune your guitar to perfection.

Nut adjustment:  This is a crucial step in the process.  Each string nut slot is measured for optimal performance.

Tuning Machines Adjustment:  Tighten any loose tuning machines and torque them if necessary, ensuring they hold your tuning accurately.

Body Screws Maintenance.  Check for and tighten any loose screws on the body, preventing vibrations and ensuring stability.

Pickup Height Adjustment:  Assess and adjust the pickup height, enhancing your guitar's tone and dynamic response.

Intonation setup:  Set and adjust the intonation, guaranteeing that your guitar sounds in tune across the entire fretboard.

Final cleaning:  A thorough cleaning ensures it looks as good as it plays.

Play test:  Finally, I play your guitar to check for any buzzing, assess playability, and evaluate the overall feel, making any final adjustments to ensure your complete satisfaction.
